Katie is an attorney, artist, and entrepreneur who has launched and grown successful small businesses that support economic growth in Iowa.  She is a fiber and mixed media artist with a location in Mainframe Studios, and Founder of HomeDitty, a platform that connects musical artists with house concert hosts.  Katie will leverage her experience and expertise to train and counsel Iowans as they form, finance, manage and grow their small businesses.

More About Katie

Why I work at the Iowa Center:I love working at The Iowa Center because it allows me to share the knowledge that I’ve gained from my own entrepreneurial and small business experiences, and I love helping others start and grow their own small businesses.

Ask me about … My art practice at Mainframe Studios! I love working with fiber art and making automatons.

I dream of a day when… Independent artists and musicians are able to earn a living wage from their craft and their time is valued equally with other professionals.

A few of my favorite small businesses: Mi Patria, xBk, Kathmandu, all of the artists at Mainframe Studios and HomeDitty
