Why I work at The Iowa Center: I believe in the power of small business and how business ownership to transforms lives and communities. The Iowa Center’s mission aligns with my personal values—supporting entrepreneurship, expanding access to business education, and building economic opportunity for all. As Director of Finance, I’m excited to use my skills to help ensure our organization remains strong, transparent, and impactful for those we serve.

I dream of a day when…: When everyone can work at a job or in a business that they are passionate about.

A few of my favorite small businesses: I’m inspired by so many, but a few favorites include Tumea and Sons Restaurant, Lachele’s Fine Foods, Coopers on 5th, and Simon’s (I told you I like food!). Their creativity, grit, and community spirit remind me why the services offered by The Iowa Center are so impactful—and why supporting current and aspiring small business owners truly matters.
