Miasem Abidulrazaq
As our VITA Coordinator, Miasem assists our Tax Services Department by managing site operations and volunteers for the VITA program so that we can continue to expand our free tax services. As leader of the Iowa statewide VITA coalition, The Iowa Center partners with 21 organizations who operate 80 tax sites across the state to help low-income Iowans file their taxes for free.

Why I work at The Iowa Center:
I work at The Iowa Center because I’m passionate about providing resources and assistance, especially with tax filing for families who can’t afford traditional tax preparers. Having volunteered with immigrant and refugee communities, I understand firsthand the challenges they face in a new place without sufficient resources. It’s fulfilling to be part of that support network.
