My household income is greater than $58,000 guideline; can you still help me?

Not at this time. However, you can contact Iowa Legal Aid here.

How do I get my Economic Impact Payment (Stimulus Money)?

The Iowa Center does not have any information on the Economic Impact Payment (stimulus payments). We are not able to look anything up for you regarding the payment. If you have questions on this payment you will need to contact the IRS directly. For more information on the Economic Impact Payment: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

Can I file my taxes on my own?

Yes! If you would like to file on your own, there are a few options. If you have questions on your return you may email: taxhelp@theiowacenter.org (please know this is for tax help only, this is not technical support for website functionality)

    • Online Taxes here (you will need our SIDN number: S53011287)
    • TaxAct 2021 here (this site is for 56 years old or younger and adjusted gross income must be less than $65,000. Or you can be active military with an adjusted gross income of less than $73,000)
    • IRS Free File here
