More About Lisa
What I love to do: My happy place is always found in the garden—getting my hands dirty and growing my own food fills up my soul.
Why I work at The Iowa Center: I believe small businesses are what give our communities their amazing depth of character. To use my talents to support creative and interesting entrepreneurs starting and growing their own small businesses in communities across Iowa is a pretty sweet gig.
Ask me about: Yoga and meditation, local fresh food joints, slow fashion, and gardening in my shady Beaverdale yard.
I dream of a day when…: Shopping small is the norm for all individuals, families and businesses. Also the day I have a giant garden to grow all my food.
A few of my favorite small businesses: Shakti Yoga, Porch Light, The Grateful Chef
