Join us for an intimate conversation on the First Friday of the month as we hear the authentic and courageous stories of entrepreneurship from small business owners in our community.
Take with you words of wisdom, new connections, and a renewed sense of excitement for your own business endeavors. Sessions are free and open to the public with networking from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
This month we welcome Sabetha Mumm, owner of Dance Visions and Elsie John Properties.
Sabetha Mumm has been choreographing and teaching for over 30 years. Her training includes 6 years at the Institute of Performing Arts in Topeka, KS, 5 years at the University of Iowa and a summer program on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors as a dance major at the University of Iowa, Sabetha moved to Des Moines, IA, where she opened a studio. She has choreographed for the Miss Teen of America Pageant system, coached the Iowa Gymnastics Training Center’s exhibition Team, and has taught and choreographed for dance studios, high school show choirs, high school pom and dance teams and fitness pageant contestants. She has received numerous choreography awards all over the country for her work and she continues to train recreation level students, professional dancers and all levels in between. Her students have gone on to work with JLo, Cher, Paula Abdul, Justin Bieber, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, Timbaland, and many more on TV, Film and on tour.
In 2017 Sabetha formed a Property Management company and after purchasing some land built a permanent home for her dance studio.
Now she balances her time between Dance Vision and Elsie John Properties along with spending time with her husband and 2 children at their home in Ankeny, Iowa.
