FIRST FRIDAY: Teresa Adams-Tomka of Kitchen Collage

« Return to the Event List

On the first Friday of every month, join us to hear the savvy, successful business owners + entrepreneurs of Des Moines share their story. In a laid-back environment, you’ll catch some words of wisdom from women + men who have been through it before—and maybe walk away with a new connection (or two).

Sessions are completely free and open to the public, and are held from 11:30am to 1pm, with networking from 11:30am to noon. This First Friday will be held at The Iowa Center, at 8345 University Blvd, Suite F. Seating is first come, first served. Lunch is not provided, though we encourage you to bring your own if you'd like.  On Frida April 6 we'll hear from Teresa Adams-Tomka, owner of Kitchen Collage in Des Moines’ East Village. Teresa knows how to create a welcoming environment – whether customers are there to stroll her shop, or engage in one of the many cooking classes offered. Presenting a wide range of kitchenware, cooking classes, and other unique items for entertaining, Teresa has established her business as that of an interactive one – providing her customers many reasons to continue engaging with her along the way Teresa started her business in 1999 in Urbandale, Iowa hoping to share her passion for all things cooking and food with the rest of the world. Since then, Teresa has moved her business to our city’s East Village and enjoys helping all who enter her store – be this foot traffic from those shopping the neighborhood to those traveling to her with a specific need in mind. Teresa will help you find the perfect piece for your kitchen and beyond. Her passion for her friends, family, business, and cooking are a recipe for success!
