On the first Friday of every month, join us to hear the savvy, successful business owners + entrepreneurs of Des Moines share their story. In a laid-back environment, you’ll catch some words of wisdom from women + men who have been through it before—and maybe walk away with a new connection (or two).
Sessions are completely free and open to the public, and are held from 11:30am to 1pm, with networking from 11:30am to noon. This First Friday will be held at The Iowa Center, at 8345 University Blvd, Suite 1F. Seating is first come, first served. Lunch is not provided, though we encourage you to bring your own if you'd like.
On January 5, we'll hear from the owner of Club-B Fit, Jen Bramble.
About Jen: My name is Jennifer Bramble, but you can call me Jen. I am a mother of two and local business owner of a well-known pole, aerial and dance fitness gym that has served the Des Moines area since 2005. Entrepreneurship started for me in 1992 when I became a certified fitness coach through the YMCA. Pole fitness found me in December 2006, and days later, I was on my way to getting certified and starting something in Iowa that had never been done before. Currently, I
am the CEO, COO and CFO of Club B-FIT Fitness Studio, LLC and have a roster of over 3,800 happy students. Since opening doors in 2005 we have added pole, aerial, ballet classes, acro, POUND and many more alternative fitness classes. Over the years we have volunteered our time and endless energies to numerous events showcasing the talents of my dance troupe which consists of Trainers and Students. These events have raised anywhere from $250 to over a $1 million and I feel such a connection to my community through these performance opportunities and appreciative of Des Moines’ love over the years. My mission in life, family and business is to be a good person. Listen tentatively. Be brave. Find solutions. Smile often. Sleep, eat and breath well. BE YOURSELF and most importantly be kind. Be sure to look up and say hello when you see me dancing on my bike along the bike trails, beaches or sidewalks of life! “Jen’s knowledge of body, strength & movement is unique and holistic! Serious good stuff!” (students remarks 11/17/16 after attending her company “Sweat & Connect” meeting).
